Laphroaig – Select

Laphroaig – Select

On 25th January 2016 I was able to take part in The Whisky Wire’s tweet tasting of 4 Beam Suntory malts. We tasted Ardmore Legacy, Connemara, Bowmore Small Batch and Laphroaig Select. Palate: Very light smoke in the background, but citrus tang and quite creamy. Not much burn so you can really roll it around your mouth. Finish:…

First-fill bourbon offers delicious vanilla sweetness, subtle spices and bourbon oak smoke to complement Bowmore’s gentle peaty smokiness, while the second-fill cask enhances Bowmore’s fresh fruity complexity and showcases its trademark…
