As promised, here is the review of the 12 year old Aberlour I bought to share at a conference recently. This is a travel retail exclusive expression. AgedĀ in Oloroso Sherry butts. Bottled at 40% ABV. There is no mention of filtering or colouring so I assume it has had both. It does have a very deep burnished colour. A friend and I both ended up buying Aberlour to share at a conference, although he was the more generous getting the 18 year old. I got the 12. That review to follow. This is a deep sherry colour and bottled at 43% ABV. Nose: Sweet, raisins, loads of malt, sultanas, burnt sugar, oak Palate: Braeburn apples, a little pepper, lemon zest, dried cranberries Finish: Mild spice and burnt sugar.
