Glen Moray – Tweet Tasting

Glen Moray – Tweet Tasting

I was very privileged to be able to take part in the 3rd Glen Moray Tweet Tasting run by The Whisky Wire. Glenfarclas – 25 Years Old

Glenfarclas – 25 Years Old

Huge thanks to Whisky Santa for this surprise he sent out to me in the middle of the year. I understand from the chaps at Master of Malt that he had over-ordered for 2017 and so decided to offload before restocking for 2018. Very kind of him indeed!  Bottled at 43% ABV. I’ve had this bottle on my shelf for months and have steadily working my way through it, so I thought it was high time to add a review, particularly with it being on the 101 whiskies list. This is bottled at a hefty 59.1% ABV! Nose: Chardonnay when smelt from afar, loads of cereal. dried fruit – a tell-tale sign of the sherry influence. Can tell it’s high ABV. Watch those nose hairs! Honey sweet. Christmas spices. 7/10 Palate: Lots…
