I saw this in Baggot Street Wines in Dublin and the very kind lady gave me a nip to taste. A really interesting label design, and a very interesting whiskey to boot. It’s made by the folks at West Cork Distillers.
Bottled at 43% ABV and finished in American Rye whiskey barrels.
Nose: Vanilla, greengages, peppermint
Palate: Very smooth, slightly oily. Vanilla and citrus. Some woody notes and gentle prickly spice. You can hardly taste the alcohol.
Finish: This is where you get the alcohol in warmth, but it’s still smooth and slightly dry.
