Wemyss Malts – Oak For All Seasons 1994

Wemyss Malts – Oak For All Seasons 1994

Another single cask offering from the Wemyss Malts folks. This was distilled back in 1994 at Braeval and bottled in 2016.

Bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: Pink grapefruit and maybe some orange zest. Plenty of vanilla. You can see where it gets the title from with a good smattering of oak. Hints of coriander.

Palate: Honey sweetness with sharp pepper. Then you get the buttery mouthfeel and vanilla. Plenty of oaky dryness but it’s offset with the sweetness nicely.

Finish: Peppery, creamy and syrupy sweet.

A real treat for the olfactory senses!
