Single Malt – 46% ABV Non chill filtered finished in a selection of 5 different styles of wine casks. Nose: Acetone, vanilla, cinnamon, oakiness, sherry notes, fruity grapes, developing into dark caramel and milk chocolate, raisins Palate: White wine, pepper, dried fruit, dried carabao mango, quite sweet but balanced by the peppery spice, slightly creamy Finish: Lingering warmth and sweetness A really very good dram indeed. I can’t wait to try other expressions from Teeling.
Due to increased time in Dublin I’ve been tasting more and more Irish Whiskey. So it’s only right that I get on and taste some Teeling, “The Spirit of Dublin” no less. Single Grain – 46% ABV Non chill filtered and finished in Cabernet Sauvignon casks. A delightfully straw gold colour to this. Nose: Acetone, green apples, vanilla, mild cinnamon spice, Matlow Drumsticks, slight hint of oak coming through. As it opens you can definitely get wine notes coming through….
